Subject: "It was determined that no criminal act had taken place"
One of the few (only?) Dragnet episodes that had no names at the end of the show, only "Case officially marked CLOSED". The suspect is shown to have nothing to do with it, despite some suspicious evidence.

The plot is something like Shakespeare's tragedies: everyone ends up dead or just about dead (Exceptions for the main characters). One KIA, one goes insane and another dies of an illness. Of the three survivors two are cold, repulsive characters who are given little sympathy by the film. Not a happy ending for anyone.
